Indian start-up Akasa Air has placed an order for 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, including an undisclosed number of B737-10s and B737-8-200s.

The airline already operates twenty-one B737-8s and one B737-8-200.

The new order will be delivered through 2032 and will support the airline’s expansion plans, including venturing into international operations.

Akasa Air reached the 20-aircraft threshold required for international operations and has obtained an international permit from the Ministry of Civil Aviation in India.
