Interglobe Aviation Financial Services is facing a €11.9m penalty order from the Kochi tax authority after disallowance of input tax credits for 2019 and 2022.
IndiGo intended to contest the 1 December order that the airline deemed erroneous after tax adviser consultation. The demand had no significant impact on IndiGo’s financials, operations or other activities.
IndiGo prevailed in a July court matter against retrospective IGST levy on aircraft and parts re-imported after overseas repairs. The penalty targeted credits availed by the IndiGo subsidiary during the specified financial years.
