USA International Trade Administration figures preliminary show that Ireland sent 39,207 visitors to the United States in May 2024, up 15.2pc on 2023 but still down 11.6pc on pre-pandemic 2019. The rolling annual figure was 479,146.
England was the United States largest overseas market in May (after Mexico and Canada), followed by France and China with Ireland in 18th place.
