Ireland visits to Portugal were down 8.3pc in March following a 1.pc decline in January. The figures, while down on 2024, are both 69pc ahead of pre-pandemic.
The Polish market was the only one among Portugal’s top 10 inbound markets that experienced growth in January with an increase of 23.2pc.
The Brazilian market recorded the most significant decrease in visitors to Portugal, falling by 18.9pc.
Portugal’s tourist accommodation sector hosted 1.8m guests in February 2025, reflecting a 0.6pc increase, while overnight stays totalled 4.2m, down by 2.5pc.
Revenue generated from accommodation in February amounted to €208.8m, showcasing an increase of 4.0pc, while total revenue reached €287.7m with a growth of 3.4pc.
