On February 3, 2025, it was reported that Türkiye hosted 195,899 Irish visitors in the first half of 2024, up 20pc on 2023.
Of these, 81,000 Irish tourists traveling to Türkiye, contributing to a total of 62,269,890 visitors for the year, a 9.8pc increase year-on-year.
The total tourism revenue for Türkiye reached 61.1 billion USD (€58.9 billion), which is 8.3pc higher compared to the previous year, driven by both existing and emerging markets.
The country is recognized as one of the world’s top five most visited destinations in 2023, with international visitors averaging a stay of 10.7 days and spending around USD 972 (€937) each.
