The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) has launched Europe’s first verified GPS/GNSS Data Stream service to provide secure and reliable satellite navigation data, extending the National Timing Grid of Ireland.

Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), such as GPS and Galileo, are crucial for real-time navigation, emergency location services, and public safety by aiding efficient route finding and emergency response.

The new service addresses risks associated with GNSS exploitation, such as signal jamming and spoofing, by ensuring users receive accurate and trustworthy location and timing data.

Developed in partnership with Timing Solutions, the service aims to enhance Ireland’s position as a leader in the global provision of safe GNSS data and improve the resilience of critical infrastructure sectors.
