Ireland’s tourism firms recorded an increase in activity last month, as the latest AIB services purchasing managers’ index (PMI) came in at 54.4 in February 2024, up from 50.5 in January.
“Irish firms continued to report rising levels of new business across all sectors and this was linked in part to robust international demand,” AIB’s chief economist David McNamara said.
The services industry noted a rise in price pressures last month as costs rose by their fastest rate in 10 months.
