A 24-hour strike by airport staff and baggage handlers in Italy on Tuesday, September 24 will disrupt operations at major airports, including those in Bologna, Milan (Linata & Malepnsa), Olbia, Rome Fiumicino, and Venice.
No Ryanair cancellations were reported from Irish airports. Wizz Air pilots and cabin crew will participate in the strike, leading to flight delays and cancellations, including 28 domestic flights already cancelled by ITA Airways.
The strike is organised by trade unions in response to ongoing disputes over employment contracts and working conditions; travellers are advised to stay informed through their airlines.
