Key figures such as Kerry county Mayor Breandán Fitzgerald and CEO Fearghal Reidy addressed the need for collaboration among tourism organisations to overcome challenges facing the industry.
Achievements discussed included the launch of the Discover Kerry platform, developed in partnership with Kerry County Council and the Tech Industry Alliance, to strengthen Kerry’s global tourism identity.
Emphasis was placed on strategic investment, enhanced connectivity, and a unified marketing approach to preserve Kerry’s appeal as a competitive tourism destination.
KTIF Chairperson Pat O’Leary urged members to continue engaging with KTIF to translate discussions into actionable strategies for a prosperous tourism future in Kerry.
Mr O’Leary shared: “KTIF is your voice, your advocate, and your partner in shaping the future of Kerry tourism. Today’s discussions have been invaluable, but they must translate into action. By working together, we can ensure that Kerry not only meets the challenges ahead but thrives in the years to come.”
“Kerry’s tourism industry is built on the dedication and innovation of our member organisations and the businesses they represent. KTIF exists to ensure your voice is heard, and today is about highlighting the benefits of working together to drive our sector forward.”
“The Kerry Brand, the Discover Kerry platform and associated social media channels are central to showcasing what the county has to offer to visitors both domestic and International. It is through the collective effort of all stakeholders, both private and public, that we will continue to enhance our tourism product and ensure a sustainable and prosperous future for tourism in Kerry.”
