Killarney will host the sixth annual conference organised by the Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT) in Killarney on November 27 and 28.

The conference will feature participation from national and international experts, with delegates engaging in various adventure experiences such as biking, hiking, horse-riding, and kayaking, followed by networking events with local tourism operators.

The event marks the 10th anniversary of the International Adventure Summit, highlighting Killarney as a hub for outdoor adventures and celebrating the array of experiences available in the area.

This year’s conference theme, “People. Process. Place,” emphasizes responsible outdoor activity tourism and environmental protection, featuring speakers from prominent tourism organizations and leading outdoor-activity operators in Ireland.

Cathaoirleach Breandán Fitzgerald shared:. “Kerry offers a world-class array of experiences that promise to delight visitors of all interests and ability levels.”

IAAT Chief Executive Brendan Kenny shared: this year’s event coincides with the 10th anniversary of the International Adventure Summit taking place in Killarney. So 10 years on, it seems apt to come back to this magical corner of the world, boasting such a wealth of outdoor adventure options. We are grateful to Kerry County Council for supporting this important annual event at such a vital time in the recovery of tourism, in this the 10th year of the Wild Atlantic Way.
