KLM has revealed a new service concept for intercontinental flights, increasing seats on its Boeing fleet while enhancing space and comfort from 2027.
World Business Class features new tableware by Marcel Wanders, crafted from crystal, bone china, and stainless steel, with refined dish presentation. Economy Class introduces welcome drinks, faster hot meal delivery, and more time for passenger interaction.
Cabin redesign expands Premium Comfort to up to 40 seats, adds two World Business Class seats on 787-9 aircraft, and increases Economy seats without reducing legroom. The changes apply to 66 intercontinental routes, including new additions to San Diego, Georgetown, and Hyderabad.
Marcel Wanders shared: “As a designer of Dutch origin I am proud to once again have the honour of designing tableware for KLM.”
Paul Terstegge shared: “Our Premium Comfort Class is very well appreciated by passengers and is often fully booked.”
