Anja Kolic, a photographer from Liscannor, has won a competition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Global Geoparks Network with her photograph of the Doolin shoreline and Cliffs of Moher.
Her winning image will be submitted to a national contest alongside winners from Ireland’s other geoparks, competing for recognition among 229 UNESCO Global Geoparks worldwide.
Anja received a bespoke hamper from Burren Smokehouse as a reward for her achievement, featuring local produce that showcases the region’s culinary offerings.
Judges praised her photograph for its warm evening light and composition, capturing geological elements such as limestone, sandstone, and waves in one frame.
Originally from Croatia, Anja Kolic also specializes in landscape photography, elopements, weddings, and food, showcasing her work on her website.
