Loganair has inaugurated its new base at Southampton Airport on 5 January 2026. The regional carrier stationed one Embraer E145 aircraft initially, with plans to increase to two by March 2026. Operations scaled up gradually from existing services previously operated with aircraft based elsewhere. The base supports routes to Manchester and Edinburgh, with onward connections to Inverness, Aberdeen, and the Isle of Man, plus global links through codeshare partners.
Southampton’s position aids regional travel and connections for southern England communities often overlooked by larger carriers.
Ronnie Matheson, chief commercial officer at Loganair shared “As we scale up operations through to March, Southampton will play an increasingly important role in our network, supporting both regional travel and vital onward connections.”
