Loganair will retire its remaining Saab 340Bs in early 2024, marking the end of an aircraft that has been in the airline’s fleet for over 24 years.

The airline has planned farewell flights and a send-off event for January 20-21, 2024, to commemorate the Saab 340’s role in Loganair’s history.

Loganair currently operates three Saab 340Bs, based in Aberdeen Dyce, serving destinations such as Sumburgh, Kirkwall, and Edinburgh.

The airline is transitioning to an ATR fleet, with plans to add more ATR72-600s to replace the outgoing Saab turboprops on a one-for-one basis. Loganair also operates other aircraft, including the Dash 8 and Embraer E-Jets.
