Louth County Council has complained that Tourism Ireland’s €1.25m marketing campaign around Brigid1500 focused on drawing international tourists to Ireland have excluded Louth.

Tourism Ireland engaged in discussions with Louth County Council to discuss potential collaboration for the Brigid 1500 events in the county for both the current year and future years.

Louth County council say the omission of Louth from the marketing efforts signifies a disconnect between the discussions for collaboration and the actual allocation of resources for promoting Brigid 1500 events to international visitors.
