The Lufthansa Group is recruiting over 2,000 new pilots by the end of 2025 for their growing aircraft fleets.

Their new campaign, ‘flybig,’ presents the pilot’s profession as more than just flying and highlights the role as managers of crews and inflight hosts in a global working environment.

The campaign targets both newcomers and previously trained pilots looking to join a Lufthansa Group airline, offering a range of employment models to suit different lifestyles.

The Group is particularly interested in attracting young women to pursue a career in the cockpit, emphasizing the importance of team spirit and interpersonal skills.

The campaign is being conducted through various media channels, including online, print, out-of-home advertising, and social media, and directs potential applicants to the European Flight Academy (EFA) website.

EFA graduates receive priority for cockpit crew positions within the Lufthansa Group airlines, ensuring high safety and quality standards are maintained.

The timeline for new cabin features on Lufthansa’s short- and medium-haul routes ois from spring 2025, Lufthansa plans to gradually implement these improvements on 38 of its Airbus A320 aircraft currently in service.:

  • USB ports: Each seat will have a USB port for convenient charging of mobile devices.
