Lufthansa has announced a partnership with AirPortr to provide a luggage collection service for customers departing from Frankfurt Airport.

The service allows passengers to have their luggage picked up from their home or hotel, securely transported to the airport, and checked in with a digital baggage tag receipt.

Currently, the luggage collection service is available for customers in the greater Frankfurt area, including Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Mainz, with costs starting at €25, depending on the location and pickup time.

This service builds on AirPortr’s existing operations at airports including Zurich, Heathrow, and Geneva, offering enhanced travel convenience and aiming to improve customer experiences as noted by Lufthansa’s chief customer officer, Heiko Reitz.
