Manchester Airport is to introduce a barrierless system for its pick-up and drop-off zones from Wednesday.
The changes will affect all three terminals, along with the train, tram, and bus station areas.
Drivers must pay charges online or by phone using automatic number plate recognition technology.
Charges remain unchanged, starting from £5 for up to five minutes when dropping off passengers.
Frequent users like taxi drivers can establish an auto-pay account for convenience during future visits.
