IndiGo Airlines will launch routes from India to Manchester and Amsterdam Schiphol in July 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
The new routes will be serviced three times weekly with B787-9s leased from Norse Atlantic Airways.
Currently, Manchester lacks direct flights to India, relying instead on two weekly charter services to Goa Mopa.
Amsterdam already has direct connections to Mumbai International and Bengaluru International, flown by KLM and Air India.
The airline operates a fleet of 406 aircraft, with plans for an additional 925, including the first A350 scheduled for delivery in 2027.
CEO Pieter Elbers shared: the plans mark a new and very exciting chapter in IndiGo’s growth. “India has strong ties both with the UK and the Netherlands for business and tourism, and there is a large Indian diaspora who live in these countries. These new flights will benefit both our existing and potential customers who fly on these routes.”
