
The Púca Festival in Athboy and Trim received EarthCheck’s EventCheck designation for 2025, aligning with international sustainability standards.
In 2024, the festival reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 90pc using HVO fuel for generators and lighting towers. Zero waste to landfill was achieved through local collaborations and a reusable cup scheme diverting over 8,000 plastic cups annually.
Meath Camogie’s bottle return scheme raised €3,000 in 2024, set to continue in 2025 to support grassroots sports. The Spirit of Sustainability Hub, launched in 2024 with Meath County Council, returns for talks, workshops, and displays.
