Pueblo Esperanza and other plans for Disney Orlando in 2026

At Walt Disney World, construction is progressing on the Tropical Americas area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, replacing DinoLand U.S.A. with a land themed to Pueblo Esperanza that includes attractions based on Encanto and Indiana Jones alongside a carousel featuring carved animal figures. 

The remaining elements of DinoLand will close in phases ahead of the new area’s opening in 2027. At Magic Kingdom, Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are being demolished to accommodate expansions beyond Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, incorporating two new themed areas. Cars in Frontierland and a Villains Land with multiple attractions, dining, and shops. 

Attractions which are undergoing rfefurbishments include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, due to reopen in spring with updated elements, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin which will return with new vehicles and targets, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster which will relaunch with a Muppets theme.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is preparing for a Monsters Inc. land featuring a suspended coaster and reimagined Animation Courtyard, due to opeg in phases through 2026. 

EPCOT is maintaining operations following recent transformations, with Test Track having reopened in July 2025 after reimagining. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is operating in Magic Kingdom since its opening in 2024. 

Hotels being refurbished include Disney’s Contemporary Resort due to open late 2027 and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Ticket prices are based on date, with single-day admissions starting around €100.
