Six tourism companies from Ireland travelled to the Netherlands for Tourism Ireland’s ‘Halloween Evening’ at Kasteel Woerden to meet 25 Dutch travel professionals and journalists.
The event showcased various attractions and activities in Ireland, particularly those related to Halloween to promote off-season visits to Ireland and highlight events like Púca Festival and Derry Halloween.
The attendees were told about the origins of Halloween in Ireland and enjoyed a performance by The Armagh Rhymers. Tourism Ireland has devised an ‘Ireland Home of Halloween’ campaign to celebrate the island’s association with the holiday.
