London City Airport has reduced security queue times by half since installing new CT scanners a year ago

Passengers can now pass through security without removing laptops and liquids from hand luggage

The airport no longer enforces the 100ml liquid rule, allowing passengers to carry bottles up to two litres

Other major English airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow, and Manchester, have received extensions for implementing new-generation CT scanner technology, extending the deadline to 2024.
