
The ITIC conference at the Royal Duboin convention centre in the Radisson Blu hotel today will commence with a welcome by MC Dearbhail McDonald, followed by an opening video on the “State of the Nation how is Irish tourism faring.”
ITIC Chair Niall MacCarthy will deliver the opening address, leading into a fireside chat with Minister Catherine Martin and a session with Jon Sopel discussing global uncertainties involving Trump and Putin.
The morning schedule includes a tea and coffee break, followed by a presentation by the new Ireland ambassador to Ottawa and the pioneer of the Wild Atlantic Way in 2013, John Concannon, on Ireland’s soft power influence and a discussion on IQ, EQ, and MQ in Irish tourism by Conor Kavanagh.
The afternoon sessions feature Oliver Callan providing humour and insights, a panel discussion on balancing tourism growth with carbon reduction, a presentation on Technology and Tourism by Jess Kelly, and a wrap-up chat with ITIC CEO Eoghan O’Mara Walsh before the conference concludes at 4:00 PM.
