Lufthansa Group’s subsidiary, Lufthansa City Airlines, has announced launch destinations for their short-haul flights, which will include routes from Munich to several German cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, and Dusseldorf.

Flights will also be available to Birmingham and Manchester in England, and Bordeaux in France, with the first flight expected to take place in summer 2024 and bookings opening by the end of April.

The airline plans to expand its network and offer more European destinations in the future, with the first two of four Airbus A319 aircraft already painted in the new Lufthansa City livery.

Lufthansa Group is further expanding its fleet by ordering 40 A220-300 aircraft and 20 purchase options, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the short-haul network to support the growth of Lufthansa’s long-haul routes.
