New York City Tourism and Conventions reports that 2025 visitation surpassed forecasts with 65m visitors generating $84.7bn in total economic impact including $55.6bn in direct spending. The sector supports 397,000 jobs and is producing $7.5bn in tax revenue across the five boroughs. Domestic travel accounts for 52.4m visitors while international travel is accounting for 12.5m.
Hotel performance remains strong with overall occupancy at 84.2pc and luxury hotels at 82.2pc while average daily rate is reaching $334. Leisure travel accounts for 52.4m visitors at 99pc of 2019 peak levels. Business travel is accounting for 12.6m visitors with 1,515 meetings booked.
