Following the Microsoft IT outage, the number of cancelled flights within Europe rose by 35pc in July 2024 compared to the previous month, according to data from Cirium.
In July 2024, 10,976 flights were cancelled within Europe, up from 8,145 in June 2024
In North America, flight cancellations rose by a staggering 98pc in July 2024 to 23,393 flights, compared to June 2024
