Willie Walsh, the IATA director general, urges immediate government action on the passenger cap at Dublin Airport which he says is affecting Dublin Airport’s role as a key travel hub between Europe and the United States.

During a media roundtable with Kim Macaulay, Senior Vice President Information and Data during IATA’s World Data Symposium held in Dublin, Mr Walsh also suggested that a resolution could lead to a rapid return of western airlines to using Russian airspace if a ceasefire in Ukraine is achieved.
