Plans have been submitted for a €180m tourism resort hotel in Kilmore Quay aiming to attract international visitors and transform the local economy year-round.
The integrated resort will include 163 rooms, family suites, lodges, a leisure centre, and extensive outdoor facilities, as outlined by local developer Rob Roche.
Developer Robert Roche of Nova Connect says the project will support sustainable tourism with biodiversity landscaping and is designed to enhance local employment and community engagement.
Rob Roche shared that multiple 5-star hotel operators are interested in managing the new resort, which will take three years to build after receiving planning permission: “given its location and site topography on the edge of the village the resort does not impact on the unique historic village centre and allows Kilmore Quay to continue to grow organically.”
