The editor of Whisky Magazine, Bethany Brown, commented on the journey of the Irish whiskey industry. Despite a decline in previous years, Ireland’s new generation of producers and promoters have put Irish whiskey back on the global map.

Irish whiskey exports reached 15.25 million cases in 2022, an increase of 8.6pc from the previous year, demonstrating the growing popularity both domestically and internationally. With close to 50 distilleries now operating in Ireland, the future certainly looks bright for the Irish whiskey industry.
