Princess Cruises has ordered three newbuilds at Fincantieri and the contracts have pushed the global cruise ship orderbook to 2039 with a total of 82 ships on order. The trio of ships will carry 4,700 guests each and measure 183,000 tons with deliveries scheduled for 2035 2038 and 2039 from the Monfalcone yard.
The vessels will be the largest in the Princess fleet. The order grows Carnival Corporation orderbook to 10 ships across three brands that include the three Princess vessels two for AIDA and five for Carnival Cruise Line and add some 51,900 new berths. The 82 ships on order represent a book value of over $85 billion with an average guest capacity of 2,663 and average tonnage of 117,956. The total new berths on order stand at 218,400. The order is the first for any cruise line in 2038 and 2039.
