Qantas will launch the first ever direct flights between Australia and Las Vegas in December 2026. The seasonal Sydney to Las Vegas service operated from 29 December 2026 to 12 March 2027.
Flights ran on Tuesdays Thursdays and Sundays using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with the route saving passengers up to five hours by eliminating connections through other US cities. The inaugural flight departs on 29 December 2026.
Services will be aligned with major events including the Consumer Electronics Show and National Rugby League Las Vegas Festival. Other Las Vegas venues have revealed numerous entertainment announcements for 2026 including residencies concerts and events at Sphere and other locations.
- Metallica debuts its Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere with eight shows in October 2026 and added six more due to demand.
- Scorpions announced a new headlining residency at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino for September and October 2026.
- Backstreet Boys extended their Into the Millennium residency at Sphere with additional summer dates in July and August 2026.
- Qantas direct flights tied into events like the Consumer Electronics Show while ACM Awards returned to MGM Grand Garden Arena on 17 May 2026.
- Other performances included Josh Groban at The Colosseum Caesars Palace Eagles additional dates at Sphere and new additions at venues like Fontainebleau and Wynn Las Vegas.
