Qatar Airways has successfully upgraded 15 Boeing 777 aircraft with Starlink’s ultra-high-speed, low-latency inflight wifi service, surpassing its initial target of 12 by the end of 2024.

The airline plans to equip its entire 777 fleet with this technology by next year and subsequently start the installation on A350 models in summer 2025.

Passengers on these aircraft can enjoy free access to high-speed internet, allowing activities such as streaming, gaming, and file transfers similar to ground connectivity.

The upgrade coincides with Qatar Airways’ new thrice-weekly service to Toronto, enhancing global connectivity and travel options for passengers in Canada.
