Qatar Airways has selected Elon Musk’s Starlink to powered its inflight Wi-fi connectivity.

The airline says it is the largest yet to use Starlink for inflight Wi-Fi. Starlink has delivered connectivity to airlines including Hawaiian Airlines, airBaltic, and ZIPAIR.

The airline will roll out complimentary internet connectivity experience onboard specific aircraft and routes which it says will deliver speeds of up to 350 Megabits per second. It says connectivity will be simple one-click access.

Qatar Airways and Starlink are currently in the pre-launch phase of the rollout.

SpaceX’s VP of Starlink Commercial Sales, Jonathan Hofeller said “passengers travelling between over 150 destinations will be able to stay connected with the most advanced high-speed internet service from space.”
