A rise in international arrivals and a ‘significant’ return of Chinese travellers were among the predictions made by France’s Minister for Tourism, Olivia Grégoire.
Ms Gregoir was in Toulouse for the Rendez-vous en France 2024 event where over 2000 tourism professionals will meet with 800 international influencers from 62 countries.
Grégoire highlights the importance of the event in promoting France as a tourist destination and praises the attractiveness of France during the winter tourist season, with strong domestic tourism numbers and increasing international tourism revenue.
The Occitanie region now ranks as the fourth largest tourist region in France. Delegates to the conference participated in their choice of 22 pre-fam tours to promote the Pyrénées-Orientales region.
