Restoration work has began in Drummin Woods, Pontoon, to clear trees damaged by Storm Éowyn in January 2025. Coillte conducted tree felling and removal to restore safety and accessibility for public use.

The R318 Foxford to Pontoon Road was closed from 22 to 26 September 2025 to facilitate the works. Drummin Woods’ 5km trail, popular with hikers and cyclists, has been unsafe since the storm.
