Riyadh Air has signed for 120 CFM International LEAP-1A engines to power sixty A321-200neo aircraft.
The engines include the high-pressure turbine durability kit for harsh Middle Eastern climates. The carrier previously ordered twenty-five A350-1000s with Trent XWB-97 engines. Thirty-nine B787-9 aircraft remained on order with GEnx engines.
The delivery timeline for the A321neo fleet has not yet been finalised.
