Ray Gammell, the chief corporate development officer at Riyadh Air, has stepped down from the Dublin Airport Authority board after serving since 2020, completing the standard five-year term for non-executive directors.

Gammell previously held executive positions at Intel and RBS and served as interim CEO of Etihad Airways before joining Riyadh Air in 2023, where he oversees corporate development.

Riyadh Air, supported by the Saudi government, is preparing to launch operations this year, having ordered a total of 132 jets, including 60 Airbus A321-family models and 39 Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

The growth trajectory of Riyadh Air is one of the fastest in the industry, with plans to use the A321neo for new routes and regions with limited demand for larger aircraft.
