Irish American Rob McKinney has resigned as chief executive of start-up Ravn Alaska and New Pacific Airways
McKinney’s departure is effective immediately
A representative for McKinney cited a difference in forward vision with ownership and the chairman as the reason for his resignation
McKinney’s departure will impact the leadership and direction of both airlines. New Pacific, orignally conceived as Northern Pacific will use 757s to connect the continental US to North Asia via Anchorage, which is a retro proposition as airlines have not used Anchorage as a stopover in decades
