The Pakistani government, owner of the Roosevelt Hotel via Pakistan International Airlines, is considering demolition for a new skyscraper development.

The hotel, closed since the pandemic, previously served as migrant housing in New York City. A joint venture partner will guide the property’s future, with plans to be finalised in the coming months.

The review explores options to maximise the value of the historic Midtown Manhattan property.

Government officials aim to balance heritage preservation with modern redevelopment opportunities.

Muhammad Ali shared: “We will have clarity on this in the next few months after finalisation of the joint venture partner and market sounding.”
