Ryanair and Channel 4 have agreed to settle a 12-year-old defamation case, resulting in both parties covering their own legal costs, which total over €1m.
The case stemmed from a 2013 documentary titled “Secrets from the Cockpit,” produced by Channel 4’s Blakeway Productions and featuring pilot John Goss, which Ryanair contested.
A jury trial was deemed unnecessary by the High Court after the settlement was reached last week, effectively concluding the long-running legal dispute.
