Ryanair has increased its lead over its European rivals to 67m passengers in 2024, according to provisional figures. The official total of passenger numbers for the year have not yet been released but a calculation base don monthly returns shows Ryanair leading and IAG closing on the Lufthansa fgoreup in second place.
The acquisition of ITA by Lufthansa will change the goals for 2025. Aer Lingus’s estimated 10.7m passenger annual total is included in IAG.
Lufthanas and Air France/KLM have not yet recovered to pre pandemic levels.
