Ryanair is to cut traffic by 12pc through German airports, due wot what the airline calls unfairly high location charges.

The reduction will lead to a loss of 1.8m seats starting from April 2025, impacting operations in Dortmund, Dresden, Leipzig, and reducing Hamburg operations by 60pc.

The airline warns that these cuts will have severe repercussions on jobs, tourism, and connectivity in Germany.

Ryanair urges the German government to lower access costs and address issues in the air transport system to prevent further capacity reductions.
