Jack Fagan, former aviation correspondert of rthe Irish Times, passed away at the age of 85. 

Born in Navan, Co Meath, Fagan was part of the winning Meath team in the county’s first minor Gaelic football All-Ireland title.

Fagan began his career in journalism in the late 1950s, working for publications such as the Meath Chronicle and joined The Irish Times in the early 1960s. His career spanned news, business, property sectors, and minor Gaelic football achievements.

Known for his reliability, accuracy, and professionalism, Fagan continued his journalism career until his retirement in January 2019, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.
