SalamAir, based in Muscat, aims to add ten A320 aircraft to its fleet over the next three years to support its expansion plans and new routes.

The airline experienced a 20pc increase in passenger numbers, reaching 3.2m in 2024, attributed to the introduction of low starting fares.

SalamAir operates an active fleet that includes six A320-200Ns and plans to take delivery of two additional A321LRs in 2025, expanding the total fleet to 16 aircraft.

The Oman Civil Aviation Authority approved three new international routes for the airline—Yerevan, Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta, and Mogadishu—alongside its current operations to 39 destinations in 16 countries, including major cities like Bangkok and Dubai.
