Scandic Hotels has enhanced its Scandic Friends loyalty programme to provide a more personalized membership experience, aiming to double its current 3m members by 2030 through increased member interaction, incentives, and engagement.

The loyalty program upgrade involves rebuilding it entirely based on inputs from current and potential members, customer data, and industry analysis, expanding from five to seven membership levels with improved offerings tailored to each level to facilitate point earning, level progression, and access to additional services like upgrades.

Members will now be evaluated based on earned points or nights within a fixed member year, allowing for multiple upgrades in the same year, with existing members transitioning gradually into the new program designed to optimise member interactions and digital enhancements.
