Shanti-Som Algarve will open a new wellness retreat in February 2027 inside a restored 19th-century farmhouse surrounded by four hectares of orange and almond orchards. The property is in the Eastern Algarve about 20 minutes from Faro Airport. It will offer six programmes focused on relaxation, yoga, detox, strength and burnout recovery.
The restoration preserves original thick stone walls, traditional terracotta roof tiles and classic arched entryways. Indoor and outdoor spaces are repurposed for yoga pavilions, meditation gardens, eco-friendly spas and hydrotherapy tracks. The surrounding land is being revitalised to cultivate organic produce, citrus groves and medicinal herbs.
Guests can choose from six health and lifestyle offerings including yoga, detox and fitness regimens alongside a specialised burnout recovery programme. The estate provides wellness and leisure facilities including a pool, spa amenities and a countryside setting near regional attractions. The retreat will offer 22 rooms with full-board stays.
