The Falls Restaurant at the five-star Sheen Falls Lodge hotel in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, has been officially added to the prestigious Michelin Guide as a recommended restaurant.
Located on the edge of Kenmare Bay, the hotel is set within an enchanting property surrounded by picturesque parkland. Led by Executive Head Chef Mark Treacy, the menu expertly balances traditional Irish flavors with modern French cooking techniques.
Michelin inspectors praised the “beautifully balanced dishes” and specifically highlighted the strawberry soufflé with white chocolate and ginger sauce.
While a standard Michelin Guide recommendation does not equal a Star or a Bib Gourmand, it acts as a massive boost to the venue’s reputation. Its addition brings the total number of Michelin-listed establishments in the Republic of Ireland to 111.
This culinary milestone builds upon an already impressive track record for the Kenmare estate. In addition to this restaurant honour, Sheen Falls Lodge holds a Two Michelin Key distinction, which represents the hotel equivalent of a two-star rating and denotes an “exceptional stay”
