The business rescue practitioner for Mango Airlines, Sipho Sono, plans to proceed with the sale of the budget carrier to an undisclosed investor.
Sono’s decision comes after the South African government failed to meet a deadline set by the High Court to decide on the proposed sale.
The sale process is expected to result in the complete acquisition of Mango by the successful bidder identified by Sono in August 2022.
