
Spain received 363,869 visits from Ireland in July 2025, up 15.7pc on 2024 and up 27.1pc on pre-pandemic.
Rolling annual was 2,878,403, (up 1.3pc) and year to date was 1,772,570 (up 9.5pc). Ireland has 400 fights a week to Spain during Summer.
During July, Spain hosted 11.0m international tourists, a slight 1.6pc increase compared to the same month in 2024. Between January and July 2025, Spain tourist numbers rose by 4.1pc, exceeding 55.5m visitors.
Illes Balears was the top destination for July with 23.3pc of total visitors, closely followed by Cataluña at 21.3pc and Andalucía at 14.0pc. Illes Balears received 1.0pc more tourists than in July 2024. The number of tourists visiting Cataluña fell by 1.2pc and 5.5pc more tourists came to Andalucía.
Tourists mostly stayed for four to seven nights, totalling nearly 5.3m with an annual increase of 1.7pc. The number of visitors increased by 2.4pc among those without overnight stays (excursionists) and decreased by 3.5pc among tourists with longer duration (more than 15 nights).
More than 8.2m tourists travelled without a tourist package in July, an increase of 2.3pc. Over 2.8m travellers arrived with package tours, a fall of 0.4pc.
England was the main country of residence, for visitors to Spain with almost 2.1m tourists and an increase of 0.7pc compared to July 2024. There were 1.2m arrivals from France (3.1pc fewer) and 1.2m from Germany (4.8pc fewer).
The main origin countries during the first seven months were England (with around 11.0m tourists and an increase of 4.3pc), France (with over 7.1m and an increase of 1.7pc) and Germany (with over 6.9m, 1.6pc more.
